Amazing literature! Every page is anointed. It was so good and so filled with truth that I have done the study twice and now I am teaching the teenage version to a small group of youth.
I bought this book a couple of years ago, read the book, then gave it away, so now I am excited to have my book back..this is a must read for Christian Women, just listen for God’s voice, Lysa book will give you joy and purpose..
OMGOODNESS!!! This is a great study book, especially with a group. Lysa hits the nail on the head, in how God will transform your life. All we have to do is say Yes, be patient and watch how God does, what ONLY He can do in your life.
This is a hit you between the eyes book, about having a very personal relationship with the Lord. I bought it because it is the required text for a Proverbs 31 online Bible study. It is excellent as that was the reason it was written. Each chapter includes a Bible study section at end of chapter, including scripture readings based on the chapter topic. Lysa writes from personal experience, in a personal fashion, as if she were in the room speaking to me. I have not yet finished this book, as the online group in the Bible study continues to work, chapter by chapter. This book is an excellent resource for delving into a group Bible study, or as an individual study/personal spiritual growth catalyst. You cannot engage this book, without engaging the Holy Spirit.
A big "Thank You" to Lysa for challenging me in my walk with Christ. The day I read the prayer that she shares that ends with, "God I want to follow hard after you and even before I know what I will face today, I say yes to you", we were faced with the reality that God had sent someone unexpectedly into our lives who wanted to buy our home. Although we felt this was what was needed for us to have the financial freedom to follow the ministry path He has put before us, it was the first true test of whether we were truly holding our home with an open hand. Lysa's words of encouragement were a blessing during this time any many others as we strive to "Follow hard after Him".
The book is good and was used for a group study for women. It seemed a waist of time and money to purchase the book. We found the workbook to be more useful. Trying to study the book and workbook is confusing because they both have different end of chapter reviews. Just purchase the DVD to watch and use the workbook as study guide. The author is captivating and knows how to keep the interest throughout each lesson.
We just finished this book used in our Ladies' Bible study. We also used the DVD which is optional for 6 sessions and did a wrap up for our 7th week. There is a workbook also, but as the leader I only used it as a reference for additional discussion options. The videos are only 30 minutes which still allows for discussion and prayer time since we meet for approximately 2 hours. I really enjoyed the author's teaching style in her writing and video sessions. Her lessons included personal testimony, were scripturally based, and very understandable and down to earth. I would definitely be interested in more of her materials.
